Tricky Trevor

Well this child sure lives up to the nickname we gave him as a baby. Now, from what my memory recalls, (which at the ripe age of 30 appears to be quickly fading) he was a rather easy baby. He has always been on a predictable schedule, napped for a couple of hours at a time, been a good eater/nurser, etc. Well, lets just say he now goes down the path less traveled and keeps me hopping. He has an abudance of energy, actually scratch that (does anyone know how to do the line cross out thing?) he has an EXTREME ABUDANCE of energy. He is intense about most feelings and most anything he does or says.

He rides his scooter at mock 90, he runs typically 100 yard dash style, he is either intensly naughty or intensly sweet, he prays either in confession sytle listing off the disobdient things he has done during the day or gives a play by play of each and every activity he participated in that day, he either is super excited to see someone or basically ignores their very existence. He either will choose to use the potty 100% of a day or basically pretend his doesn't know what a potty is. Lovely, huh? :-) He loves dogs pretty much 50% of the time. He talks like he is almost a vet and can't wait to catch a glimpse of another "BIG GIANT DOGGY" however, then we will finally see a dog we can go pet or whatever and he will scream a blood hurdling scream. He also announces that him mommy doesn't like BIG GIANT DOGGIES. :-)

Lets see, other intense examples, when he colors he makes certain to fill each space with any random thing, dancing he dances his little heart out, singing now this one is precious...he will hold various notes for a VERY LONG TIME allthewhile his volume is increasing, talking on the phone usually requires that the listener turns their speed of hearing into 80 miles per hour, maybe that is an heriditary thing???? Taking his picture he is either smiling from ear to ear with his eyes barely open he is smiling so much or he will REFUSE to look in the direction of the camera. He hugs and kisses like a crazy person.

The list could continue...I wanted to just record a few of the reasons why I think the nick name of Tricky Trevor fits him oh so well! ;-) Although sometimes exhausting I do love his intensity! I pray this characteristic will be used for positive things and that he will soon be INTENSE about serving the Lord. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy the moments of laughter he brings us and remind myself that he will only be 3 for a short time and enjoy all the days of him being INTENSE.
